So Close!

Few set backs, like soldering gun being a piece of shit, forgot I beefed up the rear tire so I’m a few links short of a full chain, and was shipped the wrong mirror, who the hell wants a 12” stem on a mirror?
One more day and I’ll be done. Excited for the next project.

KZ Running

Finally got the KZ 750 running after it had been in some garage for four years. If anyone needs ape hangers you can pick them up from the dumpster behind my house.

Getting There... Part Deux

Every time I think I’m close I think of something else I want to add to the 90 to make it tits. But I’ve got 16 days until our son is born and I promised myself I’d have it finished by then. Got a coil in the mail along with some other miscellaneous accoutrements, so God willing I’ll be finished on time.
Here’s whats been going on:
I sanded the risers, carb intake, ect and polished the shit out of them.

Not sure if you use aircraft polish, but I swear by this stuff.

Painted the top of the triple heat treated gloss black, and finished the electrical. Looking pretty sweet.

I got rid of the funky old headlight brackets and thew these on with some black handlebar tape.

Without the tank these handlebars might as well be wings…

I’d say its turning out to be a rad little bike. I soooo need a shop, every time I show the apartment I explain that ” no, all this moto junk wont be in the apartment when you move in, and no you cant have it.”

KZ750 on 35mm

I'll always shoot 35

Waste Not, Want Not.

I’ve been looking for an alternative headlight bucket for the 90 but couldnt find anything I liked, as I’m not a fan of the headlight/speedo combo on this particular bike. So a little cutting, body filler and sanding is all I needed to get me what I wanted.

Getting There

Its getting there, making the big push this week. I love the barrel grips, adds a nice touch.

CL 90 Seat Finished

I threw together a slim seat pan and sent it to the upholsterer. I put the tank and seat on to see how it looked, love the seat but not sure about what to do with the tank.

BTW:

If your in LA and need a seat upholstered for a great price hit me up and I’ll give you the guys number.

Krusty Karbs

Pulled the carbs of the KZ and, dismantled them and dropped them in the carb dip.

Out with the old

In with the new. All Balls tapered bearings installed, tires on, as well as the bars. Mock up looks pretty sweet!

Still need to powder coat some parts but mocked it up to see how things where going to look.

Euro Bars
Pretty sure the headlight ears are going bye-bye.

The Newest Member Of The Family...

Picked up a ‘82 Kawi 750 today.
Not sure what I’m going to do to it, but the ideas are flowing! I love it!

Not bad for $400 Bucks!

More on the 90

All Balls bearings and races ordered, fitting the pieces back together.
Fatty tires looking pretty damn sweet.
Moved the operation to a different vacant apartment… I need a shop.

More Polishing

Sanding & polishing old hubs and sprocket with aircraft polish. Replacing old brake pads.
